Ella Crowned KZ2 English Champion at Shenington SuperPrix

Ella Stevens dominated the English Championship in KZ2 at the Shenington SuperPrix for Jade Karts.

The annual SuperPrix at Shenington took place in blazing sunshine - as Ella returned to her team's home circuit.

Ella hit the ground running, topping practice before going onto claiming pole position in Qualifying.

The Motorsport UK Future Driver continued her brilliant form by sweeping to a lights-to-flag victory in the two heats from Pole Position, where she was never headed - claiming the fastest lap each time in the process.

Ella's winning form gave her P1 on the grid for the English Championship final.
After a clean start, closely followed by Jade Karts teammate Charlie Cole - Ella got into her rhythm and began to increase her advantage out-front, setting consecutive fastest laps to break the slipstream behind and cement herself in a commanding position.

Despite the warm conditions and wearing tyres, Ella set the best time of the weekend in KZ2 - as she stretched out a lead of almost 4 seconds at the chequered flag, winning the English Championship in dominant style.

Ella lead every lap, topped every session, got the fastest lap in every session and placed 1st in every classification across the Shenington SuperPrix weekend.
She will now be able to run the 'E' plate for the next year - denoting her status as the KZ2 English Champion.

Her strong form at Shenington bodes well for Round 2 of the British Karting Championships - which takes place next week at the same circuit.
