The opening round of the British Superkart Racing Club Super Series took place at Silverstone – with Ella competing in the F125 Open and KZ LC classes.
She wasted no time in getting up to speed - showing strong pace throughout practice, before breaking the 10-year long standing lap record in Qualifying! Ella set a 1m09.286s laptime - onboard her Jade Racing machine, almost 1 second faster than her nearest rival in class!
Race 1 saw Ella once again show lap record pace – retaking the lead on Lap 3 that she temporarily at the start, before setting a searing pace out front! She broke her own lap record from Qualifying by 0.1s and extended a 7.5-second advantage at the head of her class, before the race finished under Safety Car – cementing her first win of the day.
The second race of the weekend saw Ella never being headed throughout the 15-minute race. Remaining unchallenged out front, securing a lights-to-flag victory, which was topped off by breaking her own lap record once again, on the final lap of the race!
The third and final race capped off a Silverstone Sweep for Ella! As she would once again dominate the F125 Open and KZ LC Class by smashing her own lap record for the third session in a row - setting a new benchmark of a 1m08.737s, securing victory by over 40 seconds from her nearest rival in class in dominant style.
Following her hat-trick of victories, Ella comfortably leads the standings heading into the next race at Snetterton on the 3rd-4th May.
Before then however, Ella will return to the Wera Tools British KZ2 Championship – for the opening round of the season at Warden Law on the 18th-20th April, aiming to build on her strong start to the season she has shown so far in all KZ2 and F125 Open races.
